We ask that all members wear pink in solidarty for survivors of breast cancer, especially those at Grace Church, and in memory of those who succumbed to the disease.

African American women face unique challenges in the fight against breast cancer, including higher mortality rates despite lower overall incidence compared to white women. Disparities in healthcare access, delayed diagnoses, and differences in tumor biology contribute to this alarming trend. Increased awareness, access to early screenings, and culturally sensitive care are essential to closing this gap and improving outcomes for African American women.
